For those who have not been following the story, this is Lily, the little anole lizard who sleeps on the lily leaf each night. That is how she got her name "Lily". Blooming in the photo are Rudbeckia... Black-eyed Susans. In spite of me being only inches away shining a flashlight at her, she did not wake up.
Lily will still be sleeping there at 5AM, but when light comes into the sky, she will be gone. Morning is her alarm clock!

During our self-guided walking tour of Ketchikan, Alaska, Mike and I strolled through the city's historic Creek Street. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a designated historic district, Creek Street is located along the eastern shore of Ketchikan Creek adjacent to the downtown area. It features a boardwalk and buildings built over the water on wooden pilings, and it gained notoriety as Ketchikan's ''red-light district'' circa 1903-1954.
After making our way down the boardwalk to the southern end of Creek Street, Mike and I headed back up to pay a visit to Dolly's House (24 Creek St.). I snapped this shot of Mike as he passed under the arched gateway at the southern end of Creek Street.
