Perlmoser Zementwerke AG

The building – now a ruin – of the former cement filling plant of Perlmoser AG, which was acquired by the French Lafarge Group in 1997 (with emissions of 607,967 tons of CO2 equivalents in 2020, the company is one of the largest greenhouse gas emitters in Austria). The building was acquired by Siloft GmbH, which plans to build an office/residential/cultural center there. The Kaltenleutgebnerbahn, which was discontinued by the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) when cement production ceased, runs directly past the building.
