Lake Hood is a float plane base and lies next to Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska. You can see the control tower for that airport above the shed in the mid-ground. It's winter and with the ice on the lake it's quiet with no float planes taking to the air, however it is used by planes with skis instead of tires. This image was captured shortly before Sunset as the clouds play with the sun as it slowly drops below the horizon.
Sorry I haven't been on Flickr much in the last several months. My quality of life is low and it's difficult for me to get around. I'm hoping things may improve in the new year but this may be the new normal for me
