DEU: Berlin-Tiergarten. Staatsbibliothek - vulgo: Stabi - im Hintergrund. Die Brücke ist schwerlich als solche wahrzunehmen, eigentlich ist sie eine kaum akzentuierte Fortführung der Potsdamer Straße - vulgo: Potse - über den Landwehrkanal.
Wer die Brücke aufmerksam begeht, entdeckt (vielleicht) ein recht unauffälliges Mahn- und Gedenkmal, das aufgrund seiner Gestaltung beim Betrachter sofort ein "Nanu!" oder gar "Warum?" provoziert und damit hervorragend die Aufgabe eines solchen Ortes erfüllt.
Ich steige hier gern mit Berlin-Besuchern vom 29er in den 48er oder 85er um und bin sicher: irgendjemand wundert sich und fragt.

If you walk across the bridge carefully, you will (perhaps) discover a rather inconspicuous memorial that, due to its design, immediately provokes a "Why?" in the viewer and thus fulfills the task of such a place perfectly.
I like to change here from the 29 bus to the 48 or 85 bus with visitors to Berlin and I am sure that someone will wonder and ask.

Während unten der Straßenverkehr am Tempelhofer Ufer entlang des Landwehrkanals rollt, fährt oben eine U-Bahnzug auf der Hochbahnstrecke zwischen den BVG-Gebäude auf die Brücke über den Landwehrkanal. Als Fotostandpunkt diente der Anhalter Steg in dessen Verlauf einst die Züge zum Anhalter Bahnhof unterwegs waren.
While road traffic rolls along the Landwehr Canal on Tempelhofer Ufer below, an underground train runs on the elevated railway line between the BVG buildings on the bridge over the Landwehr Canal above. The Anhalter Steg, along which the trains to Anhalter Bahnhof once ran, served as a photo point.
The Hiroshimasteg in Berlin is a pedestrian bridge that spans over the Landwehr Canal and provides a scenic walkway for visitors and locals alike. The bridge is named in memory of the victims of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.
