One Way by Jordi Sureda

One Way

With this post I just wanted to make a metaphor of life and my thoughts.

There is no road on its own, true, each one of us is shaping its way, its path, its personal history, full of successes and mistakes, of happy and not so happy moments.

Life is only learned precisely by living, living without fear, walking without stopping, in spite of the stones we find along the way and that sometimes make us stumble and fall, and then get up again, with more desire and strength, without looking back, because the past is gone and the future is yet to come ...

As the great Antonio Machado said: "Walker there is no path, the path is made by walking". Sometimes we will have to decide whether to cross the river or take another shortcut, we will enjoy when the sun shines in all its splendour and sometimes we will have to endure when a downpour falls on us.

But, to tell you that mistakes are also successes, because vulnerability, fear and uncertainty, even if the night comes and we are alone on that road, even if sometimes everything becomes strange and mysterious, even if the shadows confuse us and blur our vision .... all this will make us stronger!

Everything happens and everything remains ... but ...

"At the end of the road of life they will not ask you what you have, but who you are. What will be your answer?"

Finding the light

It's a quiet Sunday morning in December, around 10 am, I had been awake for a few hours, I looked out the window to see what the day looked like, when I saw a mixture of fog and interesting sunshine I thought, you should go out with the camera..... so I did, with little to do, I went into "work" mode and took a walk among these beautiful trees ... that soft side light, coming through a fine mist, presented a wonderful scene before me ...

Many times, photography does not do justice to the reality of what you see, this is the most difficult and complicated part, trying to reflect in the best way, what my eyes see through the viewfinder ... I hope I succeeded and not disappoint mother nature!

I hope you like this scene.
Thank you very much for your visits, faves and kind comments.

There is a Light by Jordi Sureda

There is a Light

I wanted to publish this in time, a few days before Christmas and all that this time means. In these days so special for some and maybe not so much for others ...This minimalist image that I show you today, is for all of you! I will try to explain why, and what I feel inside me here .... for all those who are happy, please keep it up, everyone else listen well to this, this is a little light, yes, but I want it to be much more than that, today I want that little piece of light you see here, to reach you wherever you are, to feel the warmth that this gives off for you. I want you to know how important you are for some people, people who love you, love you and need you .... I also know that we are missing important people in our lives, we have all suffered this at some point in our lives, some maybe too soon...I know...they are by our side and protect us...and they want to see us happy and cheerful, so please don't wait, don't be sad about this, I get emotional too when my mind goes, we all have ups and downs ... if you have to cry, cry, if you have to laugh, laugh, if you have to talk to someone, talk, if you need space, find that for yourself...but if you have to be happy, be happy, please...I believe you should and deserve to be...that is the sweetest gift!

May all that light come to you through joy, hope, illusion, dreams, goodness, happiness... nothing is finished, a little happiness is enough to start all over again!

There are very good hearts out there... I know it! I wish you all the best of smiles, may all that light surround you always, but now more than ever.
I hope I managed to convey what I wanted to, and that the translator worked correctly!

If you want and you have a couple or three minutes you can spend them watching and listening to this song, I know that time is very expensive, but this is a real masterpiece...you know what I mean.

My heart cried a little bit today, I think it needed it.....
Thank you, thank you and more thank you!

The Autumn Sighs by Jordi Sureda

The Autumn Sighs

I belong to autumn, my heart is here and it shows, it is the time when I feel better, it has never seemed to me that it is a sad season, nor that since the days are shorter, they are less fun, not quite the opposite! Autumn is the time to go to the woods and the parks to enjoy what this season offers us, which is a lot... but like everything in life, it ends... and this will soon end...

Thanks for reading and for being here, thank you so much!

Long Hard Road by Jordi Sureda

Long Hard Road

I am going to use this image to make a comparison with life, if you will allow me...

When you are young you have a plastic capacity in your brain and it adapts to everything...everything seems easy and beautiful but... whoever believes that they have come to this world to live peacefully is totally wrong, I think we must change the conception we have of the life. Life is having problems and solving them. Sometimes it gives you satisfaction and other times it leaves you feeling shitty, that's something we usually learn when it's too late, we believe that maturing is accumulating years, but really maturing is realizing that things are not as we dreamed...also I believe that, with effort, struggle and serenity we can change things...

Life is not a story with a happy ending, nor is the earthly world made of cotton, nor do the good guys always win... No... Living is uncertainty, sometimes it is a paradise and sometimes a minefield... so we have no choice but to prepare ourselves to survive and weather misfortunes.

I really believe that intelligence is the ability to solve problems.. if life is a jungle, I don't need to master math, know the football league by heart or be a computer guru, but I do need to be alert, make an effort and use common sense and good judgment, having positive aptitude is very important!

I would add that you have to fight to be strong and get up after the falls and traps that life will bring us... strength is forged with experience and effort.

I'm sorry to bore you with these thoughts but sometimes I need to express them somehow or somewhere. I'm one of those who think that neither the bad guy is that bad, nor that the good guy is that good, but you have to be realistic... and this is a reality.

Everything has been figured out, except how to live.

"Autumn"

And it is that the most beautiful time has come for many, because the colors are warm and it is the best time to go out to photograph in forests because the colors and the leaves are elements that make us create very beautiful images... the light of autumn , that fog and if God wants, that desired rain will fall and will make us see all that landscape that we have around us in another way... it is definitely the best time for me, there is something incredibly nostalgic, although I don't know exactly why... maybe because I was born in autumn some years ago...

So whether fall is your favorite time of year or not, I hope this is a good time for you!

If a year was tucked inside of a clock, then autumn would be the magic hour.

Go Your Own Way by Jordi Sureda

Go Your Own Way

Never let anyone tell you what you have to do or how you have to do it... always follow your own path... let no one make you doubt yourself... just listen to the people who love you, to those people who they help you when you need it... without expecting anything in return...

After this small and unexpected thought that went through my head... tell you that I spend some boring time and try "selective desaturated" photography also called cut-out, a technique that although it may seem the opposite is very simple to make with Photoshop.

PS: Sometimes I enjoy wasting time, sometimes I need it.

I hope you like it.
Have a happy day everyone!

Staring Through The Fog by Jordi Sureda

Staring Through The Fog

I have been without inspiration or photographic motivation for some time, seeking inspiration and getting creative is not always easy... this is probably a reflection of my personal moment... or of life itself, sometimes complicated... we know there are better days than others... that there are times better than others... I've seen really beautiful photos, I've also read great and beautiful stories from my friends here on Flickr lately, maybe that's something it does keep me...

This photo that I publish is made some time ago, nature does not need inspiration like human beings to create, she is already "pure inspiration" in herself, she does not need anyone ... she just wants us not to bother her too much with our steps ... maybe I have to go back to nature to look for that light!

Now I take refuge in music... as I have done on so many occasions in my life, that allows me to think and reflect...
I am going to add here this wonderful song from what is for me, the best Spanish musician and composer... as the song says... I have nothing... I only have you... and that means a lot!!

If you want, you can enjoy the video clip of this great artist here and better understand what I want to tell you:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7zDgnd9sMQ&ab_channel=Alejan...

I do not pretend to teach you anything about life... but I would love to be able to tell you this, if you allow me... Never say "no" to a hug, do not hold back from giving it too... few things so simple in life can mean so much to someone else and also to you... make this world a better place with this simple gesture!
May light, music and love guide you all! A big hug!
