37521 'English China Clays' at Hall Road on the Northern lines of the Merseyrail network, sometime in 2000, with an engineering train.
Still wearing it's nameplates from its time as a Plymouth Laira allocated loco, out based at St Blazey for the work in association with the numerous flows of China Clay.
The locomotive is still in use with Locomotive Services Limited (LSL) at Crewe.
The brick built building behind the train is the Hall Road electrical control room, being responsible for the third rail supply (and isolation) to both the Northern and Wirral lines. Now relocated within the IECC at Sandhills, the area is now part of the car park for the adjacent station.
