The train is seen here at Stallingborough station near Grimsby on its way to Cleethorpes from its base in Doncaster. It would then do a return test run from Cleethorpes to Lincoln via Market Rasen.
Out today with Pauls Pix 53 and our long lenses, for a potter in the countryside around Robertsbridge.
Here Paul is a happy bunny :))) We are doing Peter Forsgards 52 challenge and this week the topic is Fast ... so what's Paul got, a slowing down train and hidden behind it is a 70 mph sign. I shall be doing my Fast pic tomorrow, and it won't be a train, or any other vehicle.
I was in Rugby to look after the grandchildren and took the train back to Birmingham. I looked to show the contrasts that abound in the station. The London Northwestern Railway has just pulled in and I am waiting for the Avanti train to arrive on platform 1. Here is the story - it costs £9 to take this train to Birmingham and arrives 5 minutes before the Avanti train which costs £6.70. Amazing how they work out the prices. My protest is to do this picture in black and white so you don't see the green livery of the LNWR train :)
We decided quite impulsively yesterday to have a day out on the train, and as Petersfield is less than half an hour away, it seemed a good choice. I took a photo for the Selfie Sunday group, but JJ's is better, so I'm cheating and using his instead of mine!! As you can see, the trains are still very quiet (perfect!) There were a couple of other people in the carriage going, but just us when we came back!
