I love the scene here with that cyan colored water in the shallows. It's such a grand view but I always struggle with the contrast and white balance. In any case, this is a nine shot pano and other then the previously mentioned squirrels, we were fortunate enough to have it to ourselves. During the summer months, this place is wall to wall people.

It's safe to say that winter's here - at least for this week. These kind of conditions, when cold arctic winds pass over the Great Lakes to the west of us and kick up the lake effect snow machine, are normal for us. However, it's much later than usual.
After three days of it, one tends to get a bit of cabin fever. Consequently, you grab a toque, put on enough layers to look like a blimp, and venture out to enjoy it. That's exactly what my wife is doing here, when she climbed out of the car to photograph a row of trees behind us - though I'm not so sure about the enjoyable part. I caught her in the side mirror of the car while sitting comfortably in the warm interior.
