Aerial view of Caistor Hall - a Georgian country house built in 1795–97 for the Dashwood family, set in 30 acres of woodland and gardens.
It lies just east of Venta Icenorum, the Roman capital of the Iceni, making it part of a deeply historic landscape.
The hall features a grand seven-bay façade and a fine mahogany staircase within.
Later additions in the 19th century extended the building’s elegance and function.
From 1947, it transitioned from a private home to a public venue.
Today, it operates as a hotel, restaurant and wedding venue.
