I finally got Chicken Rendang at KLIA-2 as I was flying out of KL to Singapore. I'd sworn to eat Rendang but sadly with a misbehaving stomach and the steamy hot weather, and consequent loss of appetite, I was inclined to go out looking for it. Sadly this phenomenon held true all through my travels around KL, Ipoh and Melacca. I was happy I finally managed to catch it when flying out of KL. Chicken (or duck or beef or even veg) Rendang is a traditional Malay dish made with chicken (or other, as stated earlier) meat that has been simmered in creamy coconut milk and spice paste until the sauce has been completely absorbed and the meat is tender and infused with flavour.
