McGee Creek flows out of its canyon towards Crowley Lake in the distance, cutting through glacial till growing a cover of sagebrush. The creek provides a riparian haven for aspens and conifers. It is evening and an earth shadow appears low on the eastern horizon with the Belt of Venus above.
