Ballet Word Tree™ T-Shirt - Front or Back?

ABT's Ballet Terms Word Tree™

How would this look on a T-Shirt, I wonder?

I checked the spellings in a ballet dictionary.

Composed in "Wordle" which is a toy for generating “word clouds” from the text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

I am redoing it to recreate the steps...

Save your text in a text edit program so you can try it out against different settings in Wordie. Type in words you want to be larger more often.

Paste your text into Wordie at www.wordle.net/create and hit Go.

Click on Color in the menu line above and select the color palette you want to try. For example, I used Worldle(TM).

Also select the level of variance you like at the bottom of the Color menu. I like lots of variance so word colors do not repeat as often and you get different shades of the basic colors..

You can click repeatedly on Recolor in the color menu, until you like the colors it chose.

Click on Layout. I like "Mostly Vertical" or "Mostly Horizontal"

You can also keep hitting "re-layout" with current settings until you get a layout you like.

I then used "Grab" and selected my area on the window I wanted to save. Grab is a nice screen selector and save program on Mac's OS X. There are plenty of similar applications on Microsoft Windows too.

Actually you should select and save the image whenever you like it because selecting changes seems to lose what you had. For me anyway.

Here's A Different Way:
It's also fun and interesting, on the create page, to use the option of giving it your webpage URL and have it select the words for you. It selects word sizes on the frequency of occurrence on the page. Or in your text for that matter.

Hope that helps.

Oh, I should mention. The colors from Wordle are too mute for my taste, so I imported it into Apple's iPhoto to give it a little more vibrancy. You can do the same in Flickr's Picnic. Or, you can use Photoshop, which is the real powerhouse.

Arizona Ballet Theatre's Plan To Get The US Economy JUMPING!

Well, when you think about it, Miss Megan Jumping In Norman Walker's "Partita" should be more than sufficient to get the US Economy JUMPING!

About five years ago, maybe more, Google's Picasa picked this photo to illustrate "A Sustainable Economic Recovery Plan For the United States." Now that was really funny... (^_^)

On the other hand, this photo does give the feel of an enthusiastic "Jumping Economy™"

Here's how to bring back 4.7 million U.S. jobs that have been forced off shore by US government economic incentives and tax policies. This has been done by a series of administrations of both political parties.

If you're sufficiently motivated...;)) here's my article. "How To Quickly Bring Back 4.7 Million Exported Manufacturing Jobs"

An update is overdue...

Arizona Ballet Theatre's Miss Megan Flying in Norman Walker's "Dance Partita" premiered at the U of A's Stevie Eller Dance Theatre, Tucson, Arizona - May 2008

The photo after cropping was too small. This version has been expanded from 520x440pixels^2 to 1024x860 pixels^2 using Apple's Preview software.

In addition, the color noise in the floor was excessive. It has been reduced here via post processing in Apple's iPhoto image processing software application. The exposure has been increased and a bit of saturation added.

It now looks much more like what I saw, viewing American Modern dance Icon, Norman Walker's, modern dance creation from the back row of The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre in the Spring of 2008.

Hooray!!

♥Baby Ballerinas♥ is a famous name in Ballet.

It originally referred to a group of very young ballet performers in Sol Hurak's famous Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo. One of Miss cecily's teachers in the Boston Ballet was Rochelle Zeid, who was a former Baby Ballerina" in the Ballet Russe.

When I was a youngster, before Miss Cecily was born, my family used to go to the movie theaters, a few times a week, to see the latest movies. I looked forward to the Newsreels that were always shown between features. In particular, before "The War," which is what my generation calls World War II, there were often clips of the Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo. I loved those ballet segments... The women and young girls were exquisite... I appreciated that reality as a very young boy. I was six years old when the US entered the war. That ended newsreels from Monte Carlo. Fortunately, there were wonderful dance movies, some of which included ballet or ballet like extravaganzas. Busby Berkeley comes to mind...

At Twilight - Saturday Performance by Chic Bee

At Twilight - Saturday Performance

At Twilight" is a pas de deux choreographed by Norman Walker, performed by Bo Brinton and Megan Winter. This piece is part of Arizona Ballet Theatre's June 2nd and 3rd performances of "International Language of Dance 2012.

This video is from the Saturday evening performance in the Stevie Eller Dance Theatre, on the Tucson campus of the University of Arizona.

The performance DVD captures Arizona Ballet Theater dancers from toddlers through adults in a variety of dances with themes inspired by music from around the world...

At Twilight is 4.33 minutes. Flickr will only play the first 90 seconds, which is not representative of the full range of dancing and emotions...

The full 4 minute and 33 second video is on Arizona Ballet Theatre's Facebook page:

I usually photograph things like this out by the pool where the open sky gives good light in all directions.

This morning I had to rush, so I shot this indoors. That's why it has my shadow.... Well, that and also because I was abstracted and focused on getting the lines as straight as possible on the place setting...;)

Not smart. I posted it on Arizona Ballet Theatre's blog:

<<>>... My Powerful Emotional Experience... <<>> Most Beautiful Pas de Deux Ever <<>> by Chic Bee

<<>>... My Powerful Emotional Experience... <<>> Most Beautiful Pas de Deux Ever <<>>

I really do feel that it's the most beautiful one I have ever seen... It's a powerful and profound emotional experience.

Miss Megan and Bo performing in Norman Walker's Incredibly beautiful ballet Pas de Deux at Arizona Ballet Theatre's Nutcracker 2011 Party last Sunday, at The U of A's Stevie Eller Theatre. It is a work in progress and will be completed in time for the June, 2012 performances.

As I was shooting these photos, I remember being struck by the thought that this was the most beautiful Pas de Deux I have ever seen in 40 years of involvement in the ballet world. I was so busy after the party with 3000 plus photos that I put that thought out of my mind.

Imagine my surprise on Tuesday night when Cecily told me of a discussion she had earlier with Norman. He said that at the party after this performance of a work in progress, a parent had come up to him and said it was the most beautiful Pas de Deux she had ever seen. She said she had attended ballet performances all over the ballet world for thirty years.

That tells me that she is sophisticated and knowledgeable with a well developed artistic judgement and point of view. (My words...)

On any level, this was gorgeous. I can't wait to see it completed, well rehearsd, and performed this coming June 2nd and 3rd, 2012.

This mosaic has not yet been seen by Mr Walker, Miss Megan or Bo. It has passed the Miss Cecily test...;))

I'm not sure if this reflection treatment suits this presentation of images... Perhaps a simple museum matted version. Or no frame at all...

I can no longer see objectively. I have "fallen in love with my baby." It's a common engineering presentation problem. It's really a problem for any writer. You need a good editor...;))

I really value your thoughts. Please show and/or tell me what presentation treatment you would prefer.
