Acuario Finisterrae. A Coruña.

The church of Santa María de Retortillo in Cantabria (Spain) is located on the remains of the Roman city of Julióbriga, from where a beautiful landscape can be seen. This 12th century Romanesque building consists of a single nave, an apse, and two entrance doors, one of which is hidden by the later construction of the bulrush.
Above the south door there is a large tympanum, possibly reused, showing two monsters, a griffin and a lion, both winged, with a Greek cross inside a circle below their mouths; above them two angels carrying a large Latin cross.

A former residential toilet, now in use as an ashtray, outside of Texas Inn, a restaurant in Lynchburg, Virginia. The sign, reading, "Put yer BUTTS here," has a level of double entendre to it, referring to placing cigarette butts in the tray, but also alluding to its intended usage as a toilet, where users would place their backsides in the normal course of going to the bathroom.

Romanesque symbology shows in countless cases bird-sirens that resemble immorality, capable of attracting us to outdated, false and deceptive pleasures.
These sirens are represented with a woman's head with a type of horns, a bird's body and hooves, and a snake-shaped tongue that comes out of their mouths, precursors of evil.
