A Time To Kill

A Time To Kill - Joel Schumacher

You think this is a trial thriller. Think again. This has to be one of the most bizarre films set in a courtroom ever made.Jake, Matthew McConaughey (Sing, The Gentlemen) is a weird lawyer. As we are slowly introduced to him and his situation we learn what he is about. He is a good guy. He loves his family. Is friendly with his degenerate contemporary. He is also very glass-half full. Constantly behind on his bills at the law firm. And he isn't worried. This paints a picture of a young lawyer who is keen to see justice done. You would be mistaken. He doesn't believe in the law. Not as it is. He believes in what he would make it.He sees his role in changing the law as his mentor, Lucien, Donald Sutherland (Fallen, Kelly's Heroes), puts it, "win the battles one case at a time" (sic).

Jake gives Ellen, Sandra Bullock (Gravity, The Blind Side), a lecture on how he doesn't believe in rehabilitation. I do bring a lot of personal bias to this argument.

I just wanted to flag that I think that if we as a society do not believe that a person can be rehabilitated then the legal system is pointless. It becomes an arm of retribution. Interested in dealing out revenge only. The U.S. legal system is based on rehabilitation.

Dune: Part Two

Dune: Part Two - Denis Villeneve

We pick up right where part one ended. The story starts with Paul and Jessica Atreides trying to be accepted by the Fremen. The stories run parallel but take very different paths. Paul is trying to get them to accept him by learning their ways and joining their fighting efforts against the Harkonnen.Jessica is trying to dominate them through fear and coercion. In her defense, she has little choice when she is offered the job of reverend mother. It's either that or die. So not a choice. But what she does after that is vastly different from Paul's approach to the Fremen. We also see two other stories playing out. The first is Feyd taking over as govener of Dune and trying to subdue the Fremen. The second is the Emporer and the Princess trying to deal with the fallout of the eradicating House Atreides. Both stories are interesting and give us different intrigues into the political system in the galaxy.

Through Feyd we see the Bene Gesserit looking to use him as another option for the chosen one. Easier to control.

We also see his uncle, Baron Harkonnen, explaining their positioning to take down the emperor. Through the scenes with the emperor and the princess, we see two very different ways of looking at the turmoil unfolding around the House Atreides massacre. She feels much more pragmatic about the whole affair.

MY HONEST REVIEW: WISH (2023 ANIMATED MOVIE)

WATCH FULL MOVIE HERE : tinyurl.com/WISH2023MOVIE

Buckle up, movie fans, because I just saw "Wish," and let me tell you, it's a wish-come-true for anyone who loves a good Disney adventure! Remember those classic Disney movies that made you feel like a kid again, filled with hope and wonder? Yeah, "Wish" is like a warm hug from your childhood self.

First of all, let's talk about the star of the show (pun intended). This little ball of cosmic energy is so darn cute, I couldn't help but squeal like a delighted piglet (don't judge, we've all been there!). The whole movie just has this good-hearted, feel-good vibe that makes you want to believe in magic again.

Now, while "Wish" is sprinkled with enough magic to fill a unicorn's horn, it also has a heart of gold. The ending reminds us that while wishing on stars is fun, it's our own determination and kindness that truly make our dreams come true. Plus, it's beautifully crafted, with animation so stunning it'll leave you starry-eyed.

Out of all the recent animated films I've seen (including "Raya and the Last Dragon" and "Moana"), "Wish" has catapulted itself into my top 3. Why? Well, the characters are like old friends: strong, funny, and easy to root for. Sure, there's a bit of predictability, but the magical creatures, adorable animals, and catchy songs (more on those later!) create such a charming atmosphere, you won't even care.

Speaking of atmosphere, I felt completely transported back to my childhood. Every scene kept me hooked, even at the ripe old age of 30 (shocking, I know!). There were no forced "adult jokes" or anything like that - it's a movie you can truly enjoy with the wonder and hope of a child.

But "Wish" isn't just sunshine and rainbows. The characters experience a range of emotions, not just the typical "happy" or "evil" ones. It all feels genuine, and you can't help but connect with them, even the villain! You might even find yourself understanding their perspective, which is pretty cool for a movie.

Now, let's talk about the music! Seriously, the songs are like the soundtrack to your happiest childhood memories. Some of them are absolute bangers, and I wouldn't be surprised if "This Wish" snags an Oscar for best song. Even if the movie doesn't win any awards, that song deserves all the recognition!

Overall, "Wish" is, in my humble opinion, the best Disney film in recent years. It's a movie you can watch over and over again, and still feel that magical connection to the characters and story. So, do yourself a favor and add "Wish" to your watchlist - you won't regret it!

'Animal' box office collection and movie review by Herbert T. Trapani by World box office collection

'Animal' box office collection and movie review by Herbert T. Trapani

In the realm of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's cinematic universe, where the line between monsters and men blurs, "Animal" emerges as a ferocious addition. Building on the foundation laid by "Arjun Reddy" and "Kabir Singh," Vanga takes us on a 203-minute rollercoaster, exploring the complexities of human instincts, deep-seated daddy issues, and the beast within.

Ranvijay, portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor, epitomizes the privileged, chain-smoking, and emotionally tormented alpha male. Raised in the shadow of his stern and emotionally distant father, Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor), Ranvijay's psyche is scarred from childhood. His journey from a rich Delhi brat to a bearded brute with a thirst for revenge sets the stage for a narrative that delves into the darkest corners of masculinity.

Vanga's storytelling thrives on provocations, steadily escalating to what can only be described as critic-bait. The film opens with the word 'toxic,' setting the tone for a narrative that divides men into 'alphas' and the perceived 'wimps.' Swastik Steel, Balbir's company, becomes a focal point, with the director keen on disassociating it from Nazi symbolism in a self-aggrandizing approach.

The film navigates through Ranvijay's territorialism, extending to all female family members, portraying a distorted sense of familial honor. Geetanjali (Rashmika Mandanna), Ranvijay's wife, becomes a vocal character, engaging in heated clashes with him.

Sam Bahadur Review by movie lovers

Reviewed by Anoop Kumar

Anoop Kumar attended the world premiere of Meghna Gulzar's "SAMबहादुर," a biopic on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The star-studded event featured prominent figures like Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and director Meghana Gulzar herself.

The film, spanning 40 years of Manekshaw's illustrious career, navigates through key episodes without delving too deep. Kumar commends the well-researched, fast-paced script by Meghana, Shantanu Srivastava, and Bhavani Iyer.

Vicky Kaushal shines in portraying Sam Manekshaw, capturing his unique persona flawlessly. However, the review critiques Fatima Sana Sheikh's lackluster portrayal of Indira Gandhi and finds Neeraj Kabi's depiction of Pt Nehru wanting.

Despite some shortcomings in supporting roles, the film is hailed as an honest and earnest attempt at showcasing the life of an extraordinary army chief, earning praise for its authenticity.

Suman Julka expresses unwavering enthusiasm for "Sam Bahadur

Suman Julka expresses unwavering enthusiasm for "Sam Bahadur," citing her identity as a Soldier's daughter, making watching the movie non-negotiable. She details her anticipation, closely following trailers and updates on Vicky Kaushal and Meghana Gulzar's social media handles.

Dismissing critics, Suman lauds the fast-paced portrayal of five decades, giving credit to the entire team and praising it as an inspiring tribute to Field Marshal Manekshaw.

Review Fukrey 3: A Hilarious Rollercoaster of Laughter and Intrigue

Fukrey 3, the latest addition to the uproarious Fukrey franchise, brings back the beloved gang of misfits and their quirky adventures. With an intriguing blend of comedy and suspense, this film takes the audience on a wild ride through South Africa and back to the streets of Delhi. In this review, we'll delve into the film's plot, performances, and its unique blend of humor and social commentary.

Story of Fukrey 3:

Fukrey 3 picks up where its predecessors left off, with the Fukra gang navigating life's challenges in their own inimitable style. The narrative takes a sharp turn when Bholi Punjaban, essayed by the versatile Richa Chadha, enters politics. Her political aspirations lead to a series of comically convoluted schemes, eventually sending Honey, Choocha, Panditji, and Lali to South Africa in search of a rare gem.

The film masterfully weaves together elements of comedy, suspense, and social commentary, offering viewers a captivating storyline that keeps them engaged from start to finish. The transition from the streets of Delhi to the landscapes of South Africa is seamless, providing a refreshing change of scenery and introducing new dynamics to the gang's dynamic.

Fukrey 3 Movie Review:

Fukrey 3 excels in delivering moments of unadulterated hilarity. The dialogues are sharp, witty, and delivered with impeccable timing. Varun Sharma, reprising his role as Choocha, steals the show with his endearing innocence and side-splitting antics.

Movie Review: 'The Fall of the House of Usher' a Macabre Masterpiece

★★★★

'The Fall of the House of Usher':

Movie Review The Fall of the House of Usher'

As a dedicated content writer in the realm of Hollywood and Bollywood movie reviews, I often find myself immersed in tales of suspense and horror. Recently, a new miniseries has emerged, taking inspiration from the haunting tales of Edgar Allan Poe. "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Mike Flanagan, while bearing the name of one Poe story, is in fact an amalgamation of several of the author's most chilling works. Flanagan, known for his prowess in adapting classic horror, has outdone himself in this ambitious project.

Set against a backdrop of relentless existential dread, the series invites us into a world where gore-streaked apparitions coexist with profound musings on mortality and legacy. The Usher family, helmed by siblings Roderick and Madeline, presides over the medical empire of Fortunato Pharmaceuticals. Their success, however, comes at a price, culminating in the tragic demise of Roderick's six children, each bearing names reminiscent of Poe's iconic characters.

The genius of Flanagan's adaptation lies in the artful interweaving of Poe's original tales into the Usher family's narrative. With episode titles like "The Masque of the Red Death" and "The Tell-Tale Heart," the audience is primed for a Poe-inspired anthology, all anchored by Roderick's harrowing confession.

When the writers strike is over | 2023 new ideas

For when the writers strike is over

And they get a better deal and start working again, I have some requests.

1. I am tired of Zombie or 'post-apocalyptic' movies. Think of something new.

2. There are horror movie plots than: 'family moves into a new house, children are haunted, something terrible happened, family figures it out & sets things right, oh no, the ghosts are still mad, family moves away; but the (child, dog, cat, doll) might be possessed. Sequel?

3. Start casting more 'normal' people. Big name celebrities don't need to be in everything.

4. For god's sake start learning something about how technology really works.

5. Knock it off with the jump scares, it's just lazy.

when the writers strike is over
Of course, let's explore a fresh and imaginative movie concept that doesn't involve zombies or a post-apocalyptic setting. How about a movie centered around the concept of "Time Guardians"?

Title: "ChronoKeepers"

Genre: Science Fiction/Adventure

Synopsis:

In a world where time travel is a well-kept secret, a group of individuals known as the "ChronoKeepers" exist to ensure the integrity of the space-time continuum. They are tasked with preventing unauthorized time travel and the potential catastrophic consequences it could cause.

Plot:

The story follows Alex, a young, brilliant scientist who discovers the existence of time travel and stumbles upon evidence of rogue time travelers wreaking havoc across various time periods.

A Haunting in Venice Review by World box office collection

A Haunting in Venice Review

A Haunting in Venice

Kenneth Branagh's latest Hercule Poirot mystery, "A Haunting in Venice," takes a daring departure from the traditional Christie adaptation, steering the narrative into the realm of supernatural horror. This bold move breathes new life into the beloved detective's character, offering a fresh perspective for both dedicated fans and newcomers to the world of Agatha Christie. Set against the haunting backdrop of a Venetian palazzo, Branagh masterfully combines elements of the classic whodunit with spine-chilling paranormal intrigue.

A Departure from Tradition

Unlike Branagh's previous Christie adaptations, "A Haunting in Venice" liberally departs from the source material. By reimagining the lesser-known "Hallowe'en Party" and relocating it to the atmospheric canals of Venice, Branagh sheds the weight of fan expectations, allowing for a more inventive and immersive storytelling experience.

A Closed Circle Mystery with a Macabre Twist

The closed circle mystery, a staple of the whodunit genre, is artfully employed in this tale. As a storm rages outside, Poirot and a diverse cast of characters are trapped within the foreboding palazzo, intensifying the suspense and heightening the sense of isolation. Branagh expertly weaves the grim history of the palazzo into the central mystery, adding a Gothic layer that heightens the tension.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 Review: Nostalgia, Laughter, and the Greek Charm Returns

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 Review:

In 2002, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" took the world by storm, becoming the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time. Fast forward to 2023, and we find ourselves reunited with the lovable Portokalos family in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3." While some may question the need for another installment after the underwhelming sequel in 2016, this latest venture proves to be a delightful return to form. With a change in location to Greece and the familiar faces of the original cast, the film breathes new life into these beloved characters. Join Toula, Ian, and the rest of the clan for a heartwarming journey filled with laughter, love, and the picturesque beauty of Greece.

This time, the stage shifts from the familiar Chicago setting to the picturesque landscapes of Athens and the island of Corfu, breathing new life into the narrative. Reuniting the original cast injects a sense of familiarity, promising fresh perspectives on well-loved characters against the backdrop of Greece's idyllic charm. One could argue that spending 91 minutes savoring popcorn and witnessing people bask in the Grecian sun isn't the worst way to pass the time. Indeed, I've endured less engaging 91-minute stretches this week alone. However, such sentiments don't amount to an unequivocal endorsement of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3."

Nia Vardalos, the driving force behind the original's success, made history with her portrayal of Toula.

Rajinikanth's Unmatched Charisma Shines Through

Indulging in the grandeur of "Jailer," Thalaivar Rajinikanth makes a triumphant return, proving that age is just a number. His captivating presence and electrifying performance leave audiences awestruck. Nelson Dilipkumar deserves applause for rekindling Thalaivar's charismatic aura on the silver screen.

Nelson's direction in "Jailer" hits the bull's eye, masterfully orchestrating a fusion of intense action sequences and moments of dark comedy. The film gracefully navigates between these two elements, creating an engaging cinematic experience that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

Anirudh's Musical Magic Elevates the Experience
