Bourton on the Water is a true chocolate box village, with the River Windrush running through its village centre.

Narrow Bridge is a footbridge over the River Windrush, built in 1756 and listed as a Grade II building in 1960, it has three rusticated stone arches, slightly humped with very low parapets, The Bridge is also the scene of a noted 1855 water colour by Victorian artist T C Dibdin

Looking along from Pontcysyllte Aquaduct towards Llangollen on a sunny autumnal morning. The bridge in the picture was built by Thomas Price and Edward Ledsham, two stonemasons from the Ruthin Area in 1730

Shot this same image last October in fog in black and white with a cornfield behind the barn. This time the weather was completely different and consequently the contrast between the blue sky and the orange and yellow road signs really caught my eye.

Two of the UK's road sign designs that pre-date the work of the Worboys Committee that in 1963 issued its report that culminated in the new 1965 style of road and traffic signs. They are in a private collection in the south of England. On a replica post but surmounted by the red warning triangle both signs are of the old style with refelctive glass studs to enhance night-time visibility.

Omg the bridge is from 1938. Isn't its superstructure tall and skinny. Do you like big gray bridges on hot evenings like these.
