Lily Ivy Dream

In a time when nature and well-being are seen as ideals to strive for, it's hard not to be drawn to them, yet the pressure to follow through can feel overwhelming. Leaf colour comes from pigments. These are natural substances produced by leaf cells to help them obtain food. The three pigments that colour leaves are chlorophyll (green), carotenes (yellow) and anthocyanins (reds and pinks).

Chlorophyll gradually breaks down in Autumn and the yellow comes to the fore. the reds then appear after the yellow.

Whilst on the island of Rhodes I went for a swim early one morning and sat in the water and watched the waves lapping over this rock whilst videoing the movement.

I then created a slow motion video and used some royalty fee ambient music.

I find water very hypnotic and soothing and am fortunate to live on the coast where I am drawn to the water's edge in the calm and the storm.
