Oddly enough, the Big Spring hasn't produced a big flush of Marsh Marigolds this year.
However, the watercress is plentiful towards where the spring meets the creek!

As I was squatting to photograph a bee on a dandelion I heard some rustling nearby and stood up to see a pair of deer running along the creek. They stopped and looked at me when I stood and froze long enough for me to photograph them. I suspect it was a male and female pair because one was a bit larger and seemed to be sprouting some bumps on the head. He was behind heavier brush so my photo did not come out too well. The smaller deer in the photo above I suspect is a doe. Shortly after I took this last photo, they both darted and hopped away down the creek flashing their white tails.
I love these wild things in the woods.
Got out yesterday for a short hike and found these beauties when I was supposed to be looking for morel mushrooms.
