I think today may have been the first day with major diversions onto the Cross-City line this year, with a good flow of SW to NE long-distance trains. Not sure that my wife appreciated our exercise walk 'happening' to coincide with a southbound Newcastle-Plymouth on the way out and a northbound Plymouth-Edinburgh on our way home!
