Impossible to duplicate this image. The ferris wheel is gone and public access to the 49 floor observation deck of the
Carew Tower is closed. So what we're seeing is the Roebling Suspension Bridge crossing the Ohio River and the smoke stack atop the old Central Trust Bank. Cincinnati's photographers miss the observation deck.
West Virginia native Harry Horner created the Mountaineer Oil and Gas Museum in Pennsboro after his retirement from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio. Harry had the gift to rebuild hit or miss engines in his spare time. After his retirement he founded the museum in Pennsboro and received many donations of equipment from oil companies that operated in the WV oilfields. Upon his death the museum closed. The modified spudding machine was one of several pieces of equipment left in the display yard. Harry rebuilt a hit or miss engine for me.

Das Foto ist eine bildliche Rückkehr in meine Jugend in Meissen. Hier auf der Bosel war unser Abenteuerplatz, der Blick von diesem 120 m hohen Felsen auf das Elbtal mit dem Blick auf Coswig, Radebeul und am Horizont Dresden hat mich schon immer fasziniert.

The photo is a visual return to my youth in Meissen. Here, on the Bosel, was our adventure spot. The view from this 120-meter-high rock over the Elbe Valley, with a view of Coswig, Radebeul, and Dresden on the horizon, has always fascinated me.
