I met him yesterday
on Van Nuys Boulevard
in Van Nuys, California -
he had an unlit cigarette in
his mouth. When I asked if I
could take his photo, he stood
motionless for a few moments as
I did.
Told me in forlorn tones
he has nothing in this world-
not a penny. Homeless, alone,
in motion.
Here's the beamish kitty boy-
we made him his own little
bed on top of our
laundry-machine - as the
sun streams down there
during the day - and yesterday
he spent most of the day
and some of the night there.
Today though he's in
a different place, as is his
wont. Everyday is a new
day in the life of
Zippy
Zollo.
