I am going to try to get in as many pinhole images between now and Sunday (Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day) as I can. But given that I post about as quickly as I shoot with these cameras that will probably be just 2-3 more.
Anyway, this image was made on the ferry ride between Victoria, British Columbia and Port Angeles, United States. I had the Reality So Subtle 35R on this trip and was experimenting with its dual pinholes. This camera has one pinhole on the front for normal exposures and one on the back for redscale images. I have been having fun making one exposure with each on the same frame, creating a double exposure where one is redscaled and reversed. But this was not one of those shots, this was just a single exposure with the normal side of the camera. The rest of the light leaking occurred about a year later when I picked the camera up, still loaded with this partially-exposed roll, and forgetting it was still loaded with that aforementioned roll opened the camera up. Attempting to load an already loaded camera is always a recipe for brief excitement. Anyhoo, I only partially fogged the roll and a number of images had a bit of creeping light leak to them. In this image's case I thought it worked well enough with the sun flare... or maybe I just like the rest of the image enough to look past the light leak.
Either way.
