Pepperidge Farm actually has some awesome stories behind it: thanks to Wikipedia, I found out that its founder, Margaret Rudkin, only began making bread for her allergic son to eat; that within three years her business, spurred by an overwhelmingly positive response, was able to move to a factory for production; that she, on various travels, tasted, sensed the popularity of, and purchased the rights for America to produce such items as the Distinctive Cookies line and Goldfish; and that, upon selling the company to Campbell's in 1961, she became the first woman to serve on its board and the author of the first NYT best-selling cookbook. Whew!
With all that knowledge of Pepperidge Farm's successes, it makes sense that the company would want to advertise its prominence in relation to “the good 'ol days,” so to speak. “Pepperidge Farm Remembers” was an ad campaign that lasted about thirty years (!), fronted by Parker Fennelly. Incidentally, the ads are “remembered” to this day – if not in their original purpose, but hey, all publicity is good publicity, right? - in a series of memes inspired by Family Guy.

By uploading these cookbook ads, published in the 1990s, I'm meaning to showcase the past – nothing else. No copyright infringement, however old, is intended. And as always, if you share or use my photos, I'd appreciate if you gave me credit. :)
