he doesn’t move. the ocean, the breeze, the sailboats — none of it touches him. bent over a glowing screen, with his face in shadow and light behind him, he becomes the emblem of now. he sits like punctuation at the edge of the frame: a full stop at the end of the day, waiting for something that won't return.
it was one of those moments where the eiffel tower seemed less about the iconic symbol it represents, and more of a casual backdrop to the daily life around it. he lounged on the grass, phone in hand, fully immersed in his screen, while the iron giant towered overhead. the contrast between the timeless structure and his focus on something so modern brought a quiet balance to the scene. this image isn’t about the eiffel tower, but about how it becomes part of everyday life for those who pass beneath it. a perfect blend of past and present.

It's symptomatic of many of us these days to be head down looking at our phones unaware of our surroundings.
I used to shake my head and make fun of these people but alas I have become one of them...sigh!
