It was the best I got of this little one.

This hand-made wooden watch was my wedding gift from my love, and as appropriate I thought since she had a hand in selecting it… she could also have a hand in the shot as well. Also as a side note, this model of wrist watch was called "The Christopher"... so I don't think you could get any more perfect than that?!?!

Recipe No. 43of 50 for 2025 - Lemon Curd
Beccy and I decided to make our own wedding cheesecake, a raspberry swirl lemon cheesecake. To go on top of the cheesecake we wanted fresh raspberries and a layer of lemon curd.
I love a good tart (but not too tart) lemon curd, and this came out perfect!

I never knew this about George Washington, but I think that's pretty cool. Also as a side note: my builder gave me this bottle when I closed on my house in 2019, and it's yet to lose its' cork!
When I was a kid my mother gave me a book of true facts for Christmas and I was instantly fixated on random, useless trivia and true facts. I used to read the Trivial Pursuit cards on road trips (nerd alert), and to this day I still have a passion for the unusual and bizarre factoids.

Back in my university years I used to go spend weekends on the school's property, and during the day (and sometimes at night), I'd go snorkeling in the deep parts of the river.
One day when I was snorkeling this huge catfish swam right up at me... he was huge and of course took me by surprise. I sat there watching me, and he spit this rock out of his mouth at me.
Maybe it's a catfish peace offering, but I've held onto it all these years...

At long last I finished the eleventh and final tier of stairs going down into the forest. By now I feel like an expert doing them somehow… I am going to end up staining and sealing these so they will last even longer, and I will install a final step down which is MUCHeasier to build and install.
Thanks for coming along for these projects!
