Just a quick shot.

I finished my seventh book for 2025, which is a year-long journey through middle earth, with different passage covering all of J.R.R. Tolkien's books. It's a great way to read parts of his books, and then take a reflective approach on your own life.
This is the second time I have read this, and I will likely go for a third journey through Middle-Earth maybe starting next January!

As long as I have lived in Tennessee, I have been trying to find a Civil War reenactment to attend, as it is a lifetime dream of mine to attend one. On Saturday we packed up and attended one just North of Nashville, and it was really a wonderful experience, worthy of a lifetime dream!

My father has been really sick for the last little while, so we were not sure if we would even be able to have Father's Day, but I was relieved that he was up to going to church and letting us cook for him!
Take every moment you can, for before you know it there will not be an opportunity...

While I do have a riding lawn mower, a lot of areas still require a push mower, and my last one gave up the ghost after 9 years of great service.
I am excited to give this one a go as it is a wider cut and much more power. The last one was such a good mower, cutting through more work than it probably was supposed to handle. Shhhhh don't tell the warranty people that!

I used to hate walking on treadmills because I found them static and boring, and I loved being outside.
Walking in Tennessee has its issues though, such as weather, wild animals, and walking far away from bathrooms, and I found the treadmill was useful where I could run and learn things while watching television- so I felt productive.
After so many miles on the treadmill I have all but worn through the tread on the treadmill belt, so I am back to walking outside. I've been enjoying walking with nature, but still know I will need to have a backup for days when the weather it too hot, wet, or cold- and will try to strike a balance between running inside and outside!

The guitar string that I planned to have incorporated in my wedding band was too small to fit, so I had to order a new set of strings that I don't usually use, play on them, and then take them off to send into the jeweler... and then put the size on that I usually play on.
It wasn't hard, just took some time, and I am hoping this time the size will work (I'm sending in 4 different sizes this time!).
