Just after sunset, under a sky streaked with pink and blue, the Sultan’s yacht Al Said stood out in Mutrah Bay. At 155 meters, it’s one of the largest yachts in the world, a symbol of luxury and grandeur. Its sleek design and size sharply contrast with the modest surroundings of Mutrah, where the atmosphere feels more rooted in everyday life than opulence. This striking difference captures the unique dynamic of the area, blending wealth and simplicity - Mutrah, Muscat, Oman
The pink and blue sky heralds a cold winter ahead, and it was cold out taken at about 5.15pm the sun had just set behind me , it was quite windy also the couple minutes I had to get my moon shot was crazy I didn't feel the cold until I stopped .the pics are handheld with my tamron that has no stabilizer I was pretty happy with what I got .. this is a blend of 2 shots.
So I went out for sunset and it totally fizzed out and the cloud burned off it was almost dark when I headed home but when I turned around to face the east I was surprised to see the pink and blue sky. Normally we get these towards the end of Autumn not a week into the season. I think they are spectacular. We are smack where the warm air meets the cold air coming up from the south and when they hit this is the result. Usually to they herald an early cold winter depending on how intense they are. As I sit here now at 10pm I can feel a cold breeze on my legs, there will be dew in the morning, that will soon turn into a glorious sunny warm day. So this is a sign of the things to come throughout Autumn as I venture out more at night to capture some of the best skies and sunsets we get all year
