US States #8 - Louisiana - Today's vintage style pinup art continues the new pinup series where all 50 U.S. States will be given a pinup in honor of either the state motto, nickname, slogan, official animal, official food, or what the state is most known for. Next up is Louisiana, unofficially known as the 'Bayou State.' The official motto is 'The Pelican State', but I couldn't think of a good way to represent that with a pinup gal... so good 'ole fashion New Orleans gumbo it is!

Today's vintage style pinup art is another Coca-Cola tribute based on the 1940s style of Haddon Sundblom. This is a bit of a 'what if' had Haddon gone the route of a bit more risque Coca-Cola girl. Haddon was one of the main artists for Coca Cola in the 1940s, creating most of the classic Coca Cola Girl advertisments that are now iconic.

What if Bill Randall was still doing pinup art when Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back came out? He retired in the 1960s, just before the release of A New Hope. So here we have a 'What If' Bill Randall had done a pinup version of the bounty hunter Boba Fett?
With blaster in hand and a helmet that gleams,
She’s fiercer—and finer—than most people’s dreams.
You’re wanted, alright—but don’t try to run,
This bounty hunt’s starting to sound kind of fun.
