Day 110 / 365 - Monday, 21st April 2014

Went up to Canberra today with the family for a bit of light shopping. Whenever I’m in Canberra I try and run around the lake, which is one of my favourites runs and I did it in the afternoon with the sun going down, so nice. Felt tired when I got home though, at least I have Pepi to snuggle with and keep me warm

Day 111 / 365 - Tuesday, 22nd April 2014

Woke up slowly this morning to the warm light peeping through the blinds in my room. The colours of Autumn are so beautiful, I was admiring them as I wondered around the town. I had lunch with mum at her favourite cafe, downloaded masses of music and had a few appointments, other then that, I didn’t do much else

Day 129 / 365 - Saturday, 10th May 2014

Fell asleep to the rain and woke to the rain, I just love that. Its so nice staying home when its raining outside and you don’t have much to do. I spent a lot of my time looking out my bedroom window to the droplets hitting the surface of the pool and lying on my bed listening to it hit the roof. I also packed the last of my things so I’m ready to move out whenever someone is free to give me a hand

Day 115 / 365 - Saturday, 26th April 2014

Definetly needed a rest day after the unusual day yesterday and I also needed to rest up for tomorrow because the music festival, Groovin the Moo is on. Nice day though, hanging around and not doing too much. Went over to Bridies for a top quality meal of sausages and sause then had a romantic night under the stars, quite a very nice day

Monday, Monday, Monday… They are always hard as hell to get out of bed in the morning but my Mondays have been pretty good lately actually. They are always a bit spontaneous and fun and they are my favourite day of the week at the moment.

Day 112 / 365 - Wednesday, 23rd April 2014

Today Dad and I went mountain bike riding in Jindabyne. It was such a nice day and I’m glad I could spend it with dad. It will be my last night sleeping at home for the trip which I’m pretty upset about. I had to give my dog, Pepi one last snuggle in bed. Its always so hard to say goodbye to him because you can’t tell him that I’m leaving again or that i will even come back.

Day 109 / 365 - Sunday, 20th April 2014

Its Easter Sunday today, and what better way to spend it then go on a hike with the family up in the Snowy Mountains. Of course I had a couple of easter eggs along the way. Georgia has her Learners Licence now so she is trying to get her hours up, so driving to Charlottes Pass and back was good for her. It was such a nice day up there, I didn’t get my camera out that much though, I was just really enjoying being in the moment

Day 114 / 365 - Friday, 25th April 2014

I got one hour sleep before I had to wake up at 3:30 in the morning to go to the Dawn Serivice. My friends I was staying with thought it would be fun to throw a TV off the top floor of the building and make the most noise possible while i was trying to sleep. So my morning wasn’t that fabulous. It was super cold at the dawn service and I wasn’t feeling very inspired photographically at all which made it pretty terrible because I didn’t really want to be there. I saw the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Will and Kate though, which was kinda cool. Its always strange seeing famous people in the flesh, you just realise how normal they are and that they do the normal things we do as well. Anyway, after the service, I went back to my mates place and slept from 11am till 5pm. I wasn’t feeling that great after all that but I had a bit of dinner, a shower got dresses and then I was ready to go out and party! It was such a good night out

Day 99 / 365 - Thursday, 10th April 2014

Experimenting in the studio is so fun! I was doing a practice shoot today with Jess for a Uni assignment that I’m shooting next week, they turned out pretty cool! Other then getting some good shots, Thursdays are just not my day. I always just feel unmotivated and something always stuffs up and doesn’t go to plan. I’m also getting pretty sick of this rain also, I want to go running already!

I’m going out tonight to Can’t Say with Lia to see What So Not. I’m excited that I have one more friend that has made the move to Melbourne, I feel a little bit less lonely now. I’ve been looking forward to going out all day so I didn’t do much all day. Its great having Fridays off for Uni

Day 104 / 365 - Tuesday, 15th April 2014

This hot chocolate was probably the best part of my day. It took me 3 hours to get to Uni today. There were problems on my train line and and there were hour delays, when the train finally started moving, it broke down a couple stations along so we all were stranded with no connecting busses to the city or anything. So I had to walk a fair way to the nearest tram into the city, but when I got there, the trams were all very full but I decided to squeeze on one anyway and I was right up against the door. Then a couple stops along, a homeless man wanted to get on and we were all saying to him no it is too full and he can’t get on, but he persisted to get on and he was pushed right up against me and as the doors closed and we started moving, i noticed all the bugs crawling around in his hair and the horrible smell he carried with him and I had to get off. I then walked to another tram line and took that into the city and finally arrived to class with only half an hour left of the lesson. When I got home, I just flopped onto bed and slept four hours until dinner. But at least the hot chocolate was good

Day 102 / 365 - Sunday, 13th April 2014

When I’ve gone hunting for snacks in Coles, I’ve been trying heaps of different health food stuff and some of them are just so good I can’t get enough of them. I recently discovered Apple Chips, as you can see I’ve already gotten stuck into them, they are brilliant. Hummus chips are also great and the Tuckers range of biscuits are super nice too. And Deli Wafers are just great because you can pretty much eat as much as you want and never worry about gaining weight because they are so low in carbs and the poppy seed and sea salt flavour is lovely. Anyway, just a little rant about food. I didn’t bother much with getting a great photo today because I’ve been organising for the Tribunal Hearing I have tomorrow where I’m fighting to get our bond back from the apartment we had last year and the real estate agent and landlords want to take all of our money when we did nothing wrong. So wish me luck!

Day 103 / 365 - Monday, 14th April 2014

The Tribunal Hearing for our bond was today at VCAT. It was quite an experience I must say. I had to swear on the bible to tell the truth and nothing but the truth etc and then I got questions fired at me in no particular order and I tried my best to stay on top of everything and it only went for about half an hour. So for a brief summary of what was happening, out of the four tenants that were living at the property we had last year, we payed $3760 for the bond, which is $940 each and they were trying to take all of it and more from us, so I decided to take them to court. And good news! It went really well, only $340 will be taken out of our bond instead of the $4765 they originally wanted. Which means we only lose $80 each! I’m so thrilled its over and it went as well as it did. They were just trying to take advantage of us because we were young, so my mother and myself put a lot of hard work and effort to collect mountains of evidence for the hearing and it was all worth it. I felt great after it, like I could do anything now and not be scared or intimidated. So the rest of the day I was really happy, told everyone and celebrated with a couple of drinks and fun times. Ps, The photo of the day was the last thing on my mind, so forgive me today

Day 125 / 365 - Tuesday, 6th May 2014

Last Tuesday of having a full day at Uni because our afternoon class is finishing for the year. I was filling in paperwork to move into my new place and printing ID off so I could go into their office after Uni and hand it in. After I did that I went to my new place and met my other new room mate, she seemed lovely and I reckon we will get along very well, so thats exciting and I can’t wait to go out with her. The reason I was there though is because my other flatmate is moving out in a month so he decided that we should all help decide who is going to live there after him because we will be the ones having to put up with them. We met a couple people that looked through the place but most people didn’t turn up so we decided, once we all move in we will do it again then. After that, I had to go home and finish my Uni essay, fun stuff

Day 113 / 365 - Thursday, 24th April 2014

Had a lovely lunch with mum and my sister today before I left to go to Canberra. When your away from the people you love a lot, you always make the most of the time you have with them. I made a great playlist to put on a CD for the drive and I was really keen on blasting it all the way but the CD corrupted, it dampened my mood quite a bit. I also have to wake up at 3:30am tomorrow to go to the ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Canberra because I have to photograph it for a documentary assignment for Uni, that should be interesting…

Day 100 / 365 - Friday, 11th April 2014

Another rainy day in the city of Melbourne. I’m doing work placement for Uni with an non for profit organisation so I went into the city to do that today. My organisation is for people with mental and physical disabilities and illnesses. I find it extremely uncomfortable at times to be in that environment because its so different to anything I’m used to. The people that work there amaze me how they can do that everyday…

Day 94 / 365 - Saturday, 5th April 2014

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day, I just love it. I had it at 3pm today. I woke up late, went for a really good run, stretched, had a shower, then ate my weetbix with sultanas and banana. For the rest of the day I just edited photos. In the afternoon I went to my cousins music gig in St Kilda and had Mexican for dinner, nice Saturday

Day 127 / 365 - Thursday, 8th May 2014

Studio class this morning and we were revising our assignments we had handed in the past week. I feel as though everyone in our class is a bit off Uni at the moment. No one can seem to get inspired for their work or assignments and we all struggle to put the effort in. I don’t know if it is because its second year and this happens all the time, or its the teachers, assignments or its just us as a group. I hope it doesn’t last the year though

Day 128 / 365 - Friday, 9th May 2014

Went into the city this morning to shoot for Uni. It was such a nice day, clear and sunny. Melbourne hasn’t had one of those in a while. After that I printed some stuff off in the city and bought a mattress for my new place. I’m so excited to move in, although I’m a bit nervous to see how I will do with all the food shops around. Being right off chapel street where it is cafes and bars galore, it will be hard to resist! I think I’ll aim to get take out just once a week and try not to go to yogurt land which is right across my street. Its such a nice area though, its definitely the place to be
