Sec.Lieut. Anthony Basil Enright RFA
Died of Wounds Received in Action 11th May 1917
Aged 21 years

Also of

Lieut. Preston Anthony Augustus Enright R A F
DFC. Killed 2nd Novbr 1918, Aged 19 years.

Sons of the Rector of Brandiston.

According to the Norfolk Roll of Honour, a small booklet jointly produced by Jarrolds and Eastern Counties newspapers in the early 1920’s, these are the only two names from the village.

This plaque is therefore the nearest thing this village has to a War Memorial.
