My 2025 Redbud Shot

This is a private garden where the owner has planted tulips, bluebells and other spring flowers right up to edge of Fargo Boulevard. There are several redbud trees and an old, weathered fence. It's a great spot for photographers as well as parents using the display as a backdrop for pictures of the kids or their daughters' prom dresses. The people watching is as much fun as the flowers. More pictures in the album.

I was studying this garden and noticed that he's planted it heavily with bluebells. But the tulips are the main attraction. Then, I remembered Richard Harvey UK's recent shots of bluebells. Thanks!!!

Small lake near Carnforth, Lancashire

There are a number of small lakes in this part of North Lancashire where limestone quarrying has been an important industry. I would imagine that virtually all of these lakes are the result of quarrying. Several have been incororated in holiday parks with lodges surrounding the lakes. There are still one or two important local quarries in operation. The small lake pictured is now contained within a private garden belonging to a local residential property.
