The Baby Deltic Project's Class 23 replica took pride of place on Barrow Hill's turntable at the Rail Ale event this May. Seen here during an AC/DC tribute band performance on Thursday 15.5.24.
None of the 10 original Baby Deltic's survived the cutters torch, so this replica loco is being constructed using a former class 37, 37372, This has been modified to accept a pair of class 20 bogies & also to the smaller dimension of the Class 23 by shortening the body and nose ends.
