Back from a recent trip to South Wales to photograph some of the areas iconic waterfalls, in an area aptly named Waterfall Country. The whole place is steeped in myth and history. Named after the Welsh princess Gwladys (Born c.AD 460), daughter of King Brychan of Brycheiniog. Legend has it that she fell in love with a man called Einon. Though not able to be with him in life she is with him for ever on the River Pyrddin as his waterfalls Sgwd Einon Gam is located several hundred meters upstream.
Taken during the same visit to the waterfall country as the previous two images, I had already spent a couple of hours at the Lady Falls and decided to take the path above the fall. I spent the rest of the afternoon there photographing the river and the surrounding woods with their subtle yellow, orange and green hues. The subtle afternoon light made it for me.
