In downtown San Diego, California, on July 1st, 2024, was a view of the east side of the intersection of Front Street and West Cedar Street. There was the off-ramp from Interstate 5 to 2nd Avenue; and the "Four Points by Sheraton San Diego Downtown Little Italy."

Per an article in the San Diego Union-Tribune, the hotel was built in 1970 as a Holiday Inn, and changed its name in 2012 ("Re-branding and renovation are planned for Holiday Inn," May 17, 2012).

It never would have occurred to me to spend the time or money to have my backalley stairs painted red, or any other color, which goes to show I'm not a San Diego luxury lifestyle person.
