Saint Cecilia Bible. Volume II,. Rome, Benedictine abbey of Santa Cecilia, ca. 1050-1100. Manuscript.

The Saint Cecilia Bible comprises two volumes of what was once a four-volume work. Volume one is a Carolingian minuscule manuscript that comes from the ninth century. Two scribes produced the first volume. It contains the biblical books in order from Genesis 12:20 through Ruth with capitula and prologues, plus two short works by Jerome, Contra Helvidium and Ad Eustochium… de virginitate servanda. Volume two contains 1 Kings 8:20–2 Kings 9:9, Job, Tobit, Judith, Esther, 1 and 2 Ezra, 1 and 2 Maccabees, readings for the Feast of Mary Magdalene, and Proverbs up to 26:18.

L'esglesia de SANTA CECILIA en el poble del MARGANELL entre Manresa i Castellbell i el Vilar, dies plujosos que donen una atmosfera especial amb tons més apagats, influències de la llum del cel, les voltes i el campanar en una composició frontal en els municipis de la comarca del Bages a sota de la muntanya de Montserrat, els arbres envolten a l'edifici per emmarcar-lo dins una escena paisatgista. Pintura de l'artista pintor Ernest Descals amb aquarel·les sobre paper de 50 x 70 centímetres.
