Cefalù is a popular holiday destination on Sicily. The twin towers of its magnificent 12th century Arab-Norman cathedral dominate the city skyline and are particularly impressive when illuminated after dark. Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedral Churches of Cefalù and Monreale were collectively added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015.
Cefalù is also listed as one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").
