I never shopped here because it had gone out of business by the time I learned of its existence, but it reminds of me of memories of grocery shopping at other IGA stores in other parts of the U.S. I'm told people affectionately called it "Grody's."

Supposedly it was erected in 1950. Did this style of stone veneer exist in 1950, or would it have had to have been applied sometime later? Such as the 1970s? ANSWER ME!!

Considering is important and too few businesses emphasize that, and Auto Consider is an unusually good business name in my opinion. I do not need a used car right now but I would definitely consider buying a pizza from a pizzeria named "Pizza Consider."

Gooolge Streetvue gives a good history of this:

• As of 2007 it was a Burger King sign. The "dollar tree" square showed the Burger King logo. The long skinny rectangle read "BREAKFAST." The lower rectangle was a changeable-letters sign advertising discount specials. The white brix were painted blue.
• Come October 2008 the Burger King had shut down and the sign was enshrouded.
• In July 2011 the sign's shroud was getting tattered and the Burger King building was still sitting empty, no sausage croissanwiches.
• By August 2015 the Burger King had been demolished. The sign's brix's blue paint was badly deteriorating.

And here we are in September 2017 buying small lead-tainted plastic things. Unfortunately I can't find a picture of the sign from before that piece of its black frame fell off.
