At last, after 4 months, I had enough recycled material to fill up my Green Religion recycle bin - Hallelujah. Now if only I was a true believer that no more than 13.6% actually gets recycled. And I heard 16.9% gets incinerated - with nearly 70% going to a landfill. I guess it is like religion, it’s all about faith!

Almost all done picking up falling leaves - HURRAH So far over the past week, I have filled eight 30-gallon yard waste bags. And thanks to the high winds we’ve been having, neighbors down the street I am sure are enjoying their Fall season The temps just dropped into the mid-20s f, so the last of the leaves can wait :-)

During a recent visit to the “in progress” mural being created by the artist Anthony (Tony) Lee - who has a number of murals (over 200) in the city of Detroit and many other cities. It is said that he is bringing new life to the west side of the Zap Zone on Van Dyke Ave, here in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The colorful mural is called Magic Wonder which is said to be an “abstraction of characters, shapes, and colors to give the viewer a fun, and interactive puzzle for the eye”
Since the artist was not around, I took a selfie using his colorful artwork.

Another Sunday afternoon walk in Dodge Park, looking for fog. No luck, until I hear a Merry Christmas greeting from behind me. I turned around to see Skip and his neat step-through bicycle. Another surprise when he mention his age - 87 years young. He mentioned riding quite a few miles on the Dodge Park trails each day, which must keep him very healthy. I asked if I could take his photo, he just said “I don’t care!”
