As of 2/1/2023, Amtrak revised their rules to allow up to 260 car mineral trains between BAY (Bayview (Baltimore), Maryland) and PERRY (Perryville, MD) interlockings, provided that they have DPUs when over 160 cars. NS is taking full advantage of this change. This is the first daylight run of a coal train with DPUs documented (that I can find) on this part of the Amtrak's Northeast Corridor. The DPU headlight can be seen in the distance.
