Sunday morning. Time to hit the driving range and belt a few balls, work up a sweat and practice my swearing vocabulary.

In the meantime an evil ball with snake eyes hides itself amongst some other innocent balls on the practice putting green, awaiting the arrival of an unsuspecting putter that it can devour.

I jest, of course; ol' Snake Eyes is actually a sentimental favourite. There's been only one time that I've been on a course as such (the rest of the time I've confined myself to the driving range) and Snake Eyes was the ball that I chose to play that round.

But it's a very ungrateful ball; it tried to hide from me three times in 9 holes, just because I was belting it with a lump of iron repeatedly. I mean, it's not like I hit it all that hard. Or far.

However I must have gotten in at least one good hit as the scuff marks on the ball show.

(Actually I'm not sure whether the picture might have been better had I flipped the ball around and used the unmarked side. On the other hand I intentionally elected not to "straighten" the image because first, the balls were placed on an uphill green, and second I think that the slightly "out of kilter" framing is a little more eye catching. Your mileage may vary on that point.)
