Most of Beauty & Bread, a 2020 Aaron Stromberg mural inspired by tenant Amore Pizzeria and 20th century naturalist John Muir; at Tin Can Alley food hall and taproom in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The title comes from Muir's The Yosemite (1912): "Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike."

The acoustics are great in there for a jug band.

Beauty and Bread

Another fine work at Tin Can Alley Albuquerque. I love this!

About this wonderful piece of art.....

During times of political and social separation, this mural celebrates people of different backgrounds coming together to share a meal or a beer. The title "Beauty & Bread" references John Muir's quote that everyone needs beauty as well as bread. Complimenting the style of Amore Pizzeria’s branding this is a southwestern stylized scene of people gathering together for food and drink. The mural is black and white with emphasis on it's strong and clean detail work. The cowboy walking his horse waves kindly to the older hippie who is waiting with two drinks. The skateboarder (referencing local skateboarder Mariah Duran) is watching a video clip with a police officer who is skating with her. A couple on a date share a meal, and a dog watches optimistically to the cook who is preparing a pizza. Just to the right of the mural is a window where you can watch the real cooks preparing pizza in a similar oven.

Personally I would've said Wolves to the left Wolvettes to the right.....just because it sounds better than Men and Women.
Rather nice art at the loo entrance at Tin Can Alley on the corner of Alameda and San Pedro, Albuquerque..
