Volubilis

The Roman Volubilis was one of the capitals of Mauritania Tingitana (one of the Roman provinces).

The Roman occupation was from the 1st century BC until the 3rd. After the decline of the Roman Empire it is believed to have been abandoned, but Volubilis continued to be inhabited. From the end of the 3rd century the Berbers lived and lived there in harmony together with Syrians and Jews.

The Arab conquest was in the 7th century. In the 8th century, after the foundation of Fez, Volubilis was abandoned and its total decline began and with it, its forgetfulness.

Los Doce Apóstoles

Los Doce Apóstoles es el nombre con el que se designa un agrupamiento de agujas de piedra caliza que sobresalen del mar en la costa del Parque nacional Porta Campbell, en Victoria, Australia.
Se formaron por la erosión de las rocas y movimiento a lo largo de la ruta «Great Ocean Road».
Originalmente el sitio era llamado Sow and Piglets ("La cerda y los cerdos"). La isla Muttonbird, cerca de Loch Ard Gorge, era la «cerda» y las agujas de roca más pequeñas los «lechones». El nombre fue cambiado en la década de 1950 por el actual, más majestuoso, que recuerda Los Doce Apóstoles bíblicos. Este cambio fue hecho para atraer a más visitantes al estado.
