Vibrant Temple Street with Pink Bougainvillea in Vietnam

I captured this enchanting street scene during my afternoon walk through the local neighborhood. The explosion of pink bougainvillea cascading over the traditional temple entrance immediately caught my eye. What I love most about this shot is how it perfectly encapsulates the everyday beauty of Vietnamese street life - from the parked cyclos waiting for passengers to the ornate temple decorations featuring golden Chinese characters

Foot Rower

At Tam Coc-Bich Dong, I photographed this local rowing vendor under their colorful umbrella. The lush palm trees and calm waters create a quintessential Vietnamese waterscape, while the bright umbrella adds a striking pop of color to this daily river scene.

Left-behind children

All her produce sold, grandma is going home.

Left-behind children is a term describing kids whose parent had to leave the countryside to work in the big cities, leaving their kids to be raised by the grandparents. The reason for leaving the kids behind is mainly because of the hukou system (a kind of internal passport) where by people are tied to social services (educational, medical etc) in their "home town" / town of birth. Thus, taking the kid to the city with them will mean the parents will have to fork out for private schools and hospitals for the baby, something which they obviously can't afford. More than likely the parents are also working in different cities, making looking after a baby even more impossible as both have to work.

...they all will reach their goal.

Actually it is very strange to see her in the middle of nowhere carrying what seems to be children's toys. Or is there any other significance to her freight? And does anyone know the proper name for her device of transport?
