The Finnan Viaduct
The then First-branded Scotrail Class 156 Super Sprinter from Fort William trundles over the Fillan Viaduct and into Crianlarich Station on the West Highland Line to join up with the Oban portion already waiting at the station before both coupling to head south to Glasgow Queen Street as one train.
Most of this famous line is single-tracked with several passing loops where trains could wait for some considerable time before returning to their journey but the views are spectacular and away from any urban areas of population.
