A month ago, a big part of the railway line 201 was closed, and aggregate deliveries to Gdańsk Osowa ended. It was a weird time for transport companies, which needed to split heavy trains in Gdynia into a couple of parts to deliver cargo for the construction works up in Gdańsk Osowa.
The train TNS 553056 Gdynia Port GT 1-33 - Gdańsk Osowa pictured above needs to climb around 150 meters from near sea level to the end station and for that it uses a very steep part of the line. The heavy diesel road switcher TEM2-101 split its train into 3 separate parts and hauled them up the hill starting at evening and ending in the early morning hours.
The train on picture was the first of three. It had left Gdynia Główna around 20 minutes before and still has just under an hour to go until it reaches its final destination, with an average speed of under 20km/h.

Shelsley Walsh, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, on Saturday 3rd June 2023.
About the photograph.
When I was preparing the photos for uploading to Flickr, sometimes I would pick one, or two, or in rare cases three, photos for uploading. Then I would start writing an article about the subject. (Note: Flickr calls this “description” but I like to think of my written words as articles instead of descriptions.)
I picked those two, the white car (0358) and the red car (0377), and thought of giving them the titles of “The White One” and “The Red One”
But when I was doing research on who the drivers were, what are the cars they drive, by looking up in the programme guide I bought on that day, I noticed by chance, the drivers happen to have the same first name.
So I figure to call this set as The Two Simons. And give each a subtitle based on the colour of their cars.
The Two Simons: Red.
In the above photo, file 0377.
This is Simon Dudfield from Hartpury, a civil parish in Gloucestershire. Here, he is racing in his Lotus Elise, bearing the number 209.
Note the vehicle registration plate (AKA the number plate) on the front, that says NK51 LWT. The first two letters NK imply it was registered in Newcastle, England. The number 51 refer to the year it was registered, which was between September 2001 to February 2002.
About Shelsley Walsh.
Shelsley Walsh is a motorsports speed hill climb track in Worcestershire, and organised by the Midland Automobile Club (MAC).
It is one of the oldest motorsports event, having started in 1905, and held events every year, except for the two World Wars.
It is also a notably steep course by today’s hill climb standards, rising 328ft / 100m over its 1000 yards / 914 metres length.
The track and course do not belong to MAC, it is leased from the local landowner. The original lease ran for 99 years, and in 2005, a new lease was signed for the next 99 years.

After a wonderful dinner with my husband at Full Throttle Distillery in downtown Branson, Missouri, we were heading back to our hotel. Along the way we continued a little sight-seeing, letting the delicious barbeque we devoured settling in our stomachs, for a striking colorful sunset over downtown. We were going uphill in this view, and the Branson water tower just happened to be in the middle up the street from us.
It isn't a perfect candid by any means but I loved the light from the colorful sunset glowing over the street we were on.
I definitely enjoyed getting out of Illinois for a few days. It is great getting to travel when we can, since both of us work full-time, it can be tricky making schedules work and flow as such.
Thank you for looking. I still have more work to complete from this trip! Lol I took wayyy too many photos (this is not out of the ordinary, however).
