This brings new meaning to the phrase, "find your light".
A bit of a break after a long hike and a snapshot of why I do what I do. Hiking in the PNW. Having early morning fog helps.

An early morning hike led my wife and I to this pooling and small falls within the Whatcom Falls Park in Bellingham, WA.
"Yes", I love the Jurassic Park movies, it shows in my editing style. It makes me feel free when I can choose how and what I can edit.

FINALLY!!!
A nice photo of Snoqualmie Falls. I have tried over and over to capture this waterfall and every time it's either to foggy, not enough light or too much mist.
Today was a complete success! Everything came together, lighting, camera gear, weather and lots of experience.

A little stream filled with dead timbers. Close to the Little Redfish Lake is this stream still showing snow and ice in April.
When I saw this scene, it reminded me of a "Bob Ross" painting, so of course I had to capture it.

When the water flow is so high, the water spray follows. This is a close up of one of the sections of Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Tip of the day-
You can photograph landscape scenes close up to be captivating, you do not need the whole scene.
Buy the best polarizer you can afford.

The Boise River Diversion Dam, on the Boise River about 7 miles southeast of Boise, Idaho, is a rubble-concrete, weir-type structure with a hydraulic height of 39 feet. The dam diverts water into the New York Canal which serves distribution laterals and feeds Lake Lowell.

This scene set out to be just a foggy and dreary moody scape, until a little mink decided to pose for the camera on the middle log.
You can see the mink on the log where the leaves and the water meet. Left click on photo...
The water had a nice deep green look and the fog set a nice backdrop for the scene.
