Sigoldugljufur Canyon is often referred to as Iceland's "Valley of Tears" due to its many waterfalls. It’s located in the central Highlands, and with its vibrant moss-covered cliffs and countless cascading waterfalls, this fantasy-like space is a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Glacial waters carved Sigoldugljufur Canyon over thousands of years, forming its deep, rugged walls. Unlike other Icelandic canyons with black basalt formations, Sigoldugljufur is unique for its lush vegetation, vibrant turquoise river, and numerous small waterfalls.

The moss and vegetation that cover its walls thrive thanks to constant moisture from numerous streams down from the cliffs.

El tiempo propio es un remanso necesario, de transformación. Una fotografía que me encanta, de un espacio algo húmedo donde tuve bastante paz/ One's own time is a necessary haven of transformation. A picture I love, of a kinda wet space where I had a lot of peace.

Aunque no llame mucho la atención como estaba, en plena pandemia, con las cortinas cerradas, el Pasaje Cristal (edificio de la década de 1900, del arquitecto César Rivaflecha) es uno de los edificios patrimoniales más importantes de Limón, siendo ejemplar de los grandes pasajes comerciales que, a finales del siglo XIX, adornaron ciudades, con un origen en algunas como París, Milán y Bruselas. En Costa Rica, en los años 80 se demolió el hermoso Pasaje Central o Dent, dejando este único ejemplar de esta tipología./ Although it may not attract much attention as it was, with its curtains closed due to the pandemic, the Cristal Passage (a 1900s building by architect César Rivaflecha) is one of the most important heritage buildings in Limón, exemplifying the grand shopping arcades that adorned cities in the late 19th century, originating in cities such as Paris, Milan, and Brussels. In Costa Rica, the beautiful Central or Dent Passage was demolished in the 1980s, leaving this only example of this building type.

One of the more picturesque lighthouses is the small Stafnesviti, located at Stafnes in the Reykjanes peninsula. Nestled between the towns Sandgerði and Hafnir, it’s not the largest one to be found in Iceland, but trust me, if you’re looking for a lighthouse scene, it’s a visit you won’t regret. Built in 1925 of concrete, Stafnesviti stands 11.5 m. tall and beautifully orange.

The lighthouse at Stafsnes is called Stafsnesviti in Icelandic, and it was built in 1925 and is 8m high. It is painted orange and is a very famous photography spot.

Stafnesviti lighthouse is located between the little towns Sandgerði and Hafnir, and it can be reached by car on a self-drive tour from a gravel road that goes South of Road 45.
