- Photographer's viewpoint is looking south-south-east from El-Gaish Road.
-A Mar 2022 image from Google Street View shows the Italianate style buildings behind the statue were still there [but sadly in a very delapidated state: maps.app.goo.gl/mTTaEaPYAsc4GEUA9]. In May 2025, the two Omar Effendi owned buildings were de-listed from the heritage register, so their future is now uncertain.

- The original real photo post card was one of a number purchased by my late father-in-law, Driver Tom Beazley, of the Australian Army 2/1 Anti Tank Regiment, 19 Brigade, 2nd Australian Imperial Force, whilst on extended leave in Alexandria.

- Digitized the original badly faded B&W postcard using a CANON Canoscan 8800F scanner.
- Latest version was colourized & enhanced using ChatGTP+ AI, Skylum Luminar Neo AI, Topaz Gigapixel AI & Adobe Photoshop CS2 softwares.

- Camera used was a Kodak Six-20 Popular Box Brownie with 120 roll film, whilst on an extended leave to Jerusalem.
- The original print is on Velox photo paper.
