She looks so proud and happy to be with her dad at the dealership where he worked. There's something vaguely reminiscent of the wonderful 1972 movie "Paper Moon" in this shot.

Back then, it was quite common to find hulks of stolen modern cars on the highways, but when I saw the back of this 1947 Oldsmobile beauty, I just had to pull over, wait for the traffic to pass, get out of my car (a '79 Pontiac Sunbird) and take a really quick shot. It was like something out of a time warp!
The Olds was completely stripped inside and someone (a crack head, perhaps?) had tried to light the back seat on fire. With traffic whizzing by only inches away, I didn't stick around long enough to really check it out.
See if you can find the Ford Pinto Squire Station Wagon in this view....
Although I know cars from the 1950s, 60s and 70s pretty well, these split-windshield beauties from a prior era always baffle me.
Please free free to put notes, tags and descriptions on these examples of amazing Detroit iron.
I've noticed several older ones from the 1920s, some with "paint death" and two oddball small ones. What are they?
