Sunrise during the summer months can be as early as 0430, but in winter, we won't see it until around 0700. This means during the winter months; the famed Train 5086 will be shrouded in darkness. Despite that, electric boxcabs needed to be photographed. Here EF65-2085 leans into the curve west of Chigasaki with loaded intermodal for Tokyo. In the background slightly obscured by catenary is Mt. Fuji.

In the 1950's Castle 5086 Viscount Horne heads Train 185 11.45 Paddington-Worcester. 5086 was rebuilt as a Castle in 1937 from Star 4066 and was withdrawn in November 1958 and cut up at Swindon. The last of the Castle rebuilds to be withdrawn was 5089 Westminster Abbey in February 1965.
