Summary of 60th 60-year reunion from Beth Billings AHS class of 1965 held May 2, 3 & 4, 2025 (Fri Sat Sun)
The Ames High Class of 1965 celebrated SIXTY years after graduating! Seventy plus people attended a full weekend of events during the first weekend of May. Highlights included a breakfast and tour through the newly renovated Ames History Museum where 40 participants were wowed by the excellent exhibits and shared many personal stories involving some of the memorabilia. Bill Ripp provided a tour of the new high school building with its impressive facilities, and during two special dinners, everyone enjoyed sharing personal histories and appreciated honoring the 83 classmates who have passed away since graduation. The consensus was Ames High School and the Ames community had provided deep and meaningful roots for which all were grateful.
