Green and Gold split toning using the Gradient editor.
I am practising my dodging and burning skills, or re-discovering them I should say as I used to do lots of black and white in the darkroom 20 odd years ago!
I adjusted the foreground and sky seperately for contrast using levels and then made final tweaks using the dodge and burning tools.
Liking this one, I got so many good shots from the photo shoot last week with Cynth.
Cynthia on a beautiful rocky outcrop. i posted a color one of this shot earlier, Gotta say I am liking the Black and white better.
So i was dying to try a black and white from this series of shots. Cynthia looked great up on the back of her jeep but I had a clear blue sky, not a cloud in sight. So I blended in a shot from a series I took during a spectacular Chinook Arch last summer to bring more drama to the sky.
On the Horizon you can see Calgary Skyline, That was part of the original frame and not the blended one.
Adjusted in curves for more of a "Fantasy" style.
